Boeing has begun its convalescence. “We are witnessing the first positive signs; we have taken an important step to rebuild our corporate culture and stabilize our production system,” said Kelly Ortberg, the company’s CEO since August 2024. The results for the first quarter of 2025, published last Wednesday, do indeed show an improvement after several terrible years, plagued by serious industrial problems and a strike that lasted more than 50 days last fall.
Over the period, Boeing has delivered 130 aircraft (up 57% compared with the first quarter of 2024). That’s 43.3 aircraft per month, including 30 units of the 737 Max model (versus 20 previously). At the end of March, following an inspection of the group’s factories, the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), which monitors the group’s industrial overhaul, declared that Boeing was “on the right track.”
