Want Christmas to last all year? You could buy a house on Holly Street for £194,465

If you want your Christmas spirit to last all year, try investing in a property on Christmas Lane or Holly Street – they'll be more affordable, and closer to the shops than the North Pole. Fewer pesky reindeer grazing outside, too.

Data from Knight Frank has revealed the most popular festive street names include Holly, while the most expensive ones incorporate Christmas.

If you want to live in on Christmas Lane, it will set you back an average of £288,043, but who can put a price on feeling festive all year? Properties on Noel Street and the like were rather cheaper in 2015, with an average house price of £148,189.

Grainne Gilmore, head of residential research at Knight Frank UK , said:

Holly does indeed wear the crown from our Christmas road names selection when it comes to the number of houses sold during 2015. This is largely a reflection of the popularity of Holly as a road name across England and Wales, with examples ranging from Holly Street to Holly Gardens. Having an address including Mistletoe is rarer, with only a couple of street names featuring this plant across the country, hence the smaller number of sales.
