The Victoria line was not running to Brixton this morning after engineers were called to fix a signal failure at the station.

The line was part suspended while Transport for London (TfL) took action to resolve the fault, leaving commuters to contend with severe delays along the rest of the Victoria line.

A faulty train at Ealing Common also left the District Line and Piccadilly Line running with severe delays.

The track between Acton Town and Uxbridge was hit with severe delays on the Piccadilly Line, with minor delays on the rest of the route.

On the District Line, severe delays affected Turnham Green to Ealing Broadway. A good service was available on the rest of the line.

TfL advised passengers that their tickets will be accepted on Southeastern trains and local bus services.

Earlier this morning, TfL Rail had minor delays between Liverpool Street and Shenfield after a faulty train at Harold Wood.

However, a good service was running between Paddington and Heathrow Airport.
