Trap signs new Ireland deal
FOOTBALL: Republic of Ireland manager Giovanni Trapattoni has ended speculation surrounding his future by signing a new deal that will see him stay on after next summer’s European Championships. The 72-year-old, who helped Ireland reach their first major tournament since 2002, will lead the team through their 2014 World Cup qualifying campaign.
