Henry Cecil is still going great guns and his LORD SHANAKILL (5%) has a massive chance dropped in grade in the Group 3 Timeform Jury Stakes at Haydock (3.30pm) tomorrow. Once upon a time you could be confident of picking a winner at Beverley but long gone are those days. The course has been “adjusted” and no longer is it profitable to go for a high draw on the sprint track. Some so called “experts” have said how great it is that there is no longer a bias, what stupidity. I haven’t found a straight flat track with no wind or uniform going. The beauty about our racing is that it is heterogeneous and long may it remain so.
