Pacquiao targets one last fight
BOXING: Five-weight world champion Manny Pacquiao has vowed to fight one last time before taking up his seat in the Philippine Congress.

The 31-year-old was voted in by a huge margin and is now looking to bring the curtain down on an illustrious career – on the permission of his mother. “I asked my mom, can I please fight one more time? She said ‘okay’,” Pacquiao said.

Floyd Mayweather is the obvious target, but with November 6 and 13 already set aside, and the Dallas Cowboys Stadium earmarked as the venue, Mayweather may not agree to terms.

Murray’s marvellous in Madrid
TENNIS: British No1 Andy Murray showed signs of returning to his vintage best after easing past Argentine Juan Ignacio Chela to reach the third round of the Madrid Open.

The Scot looked comfortable throughout against the world number 51, breaking Chela three times to take the opening set. He then dropped his own serve at the start of the second set before responding with a double break to wrap up a 6-3, 6-3 victory. “It was the best I have hit the ball in a long time, I felt comfortable on the court,” said Murray, who now takes on Romanian Victor Hanescu.
