Sheepland, a sheep café, could be opening in London thanks to a crowdfunding campaign

Ewe might find it difficult to believe, but London could be getting its first ever sheep cafe – and they’ve launched a crowdfunding campaign to fund it. Not a baaad idea…

In its listing on Indiegogo, the team behind Sheepland say they want customers to experience nature in the middle of a big city. Some 6,000 tickets have been made available, and organisers need 500 people to make $50 “bookings” (aka donations) to get the project underway.

The cafe, where customers will interact with two real, live sheep, Jake and Jenny, will offer snacks like apple pie with cinnamon ice cream, sandwiches, salads, various chocolate desserts, as well as coffee and tea.

And, should the idea take off, organisers said there’s a “big chance that Sheepland will become a permanent café”. Yes, you herd correctly. Dining with sheep could become an everyday affair.

Don’t be sheepish if you think this is a good idea, you can find out more about the campaign here.

Need more convincing? Here's an example of a similar cafe in Korea.
