NEW DEVELOPMENT BOASTS ARTY STAIRCASE
Artesian, the property development company, are launching a new development called Crabtree place just off Charlotte Street, close to Goodge Street. The development includes seven townhouses and a penthouse apartment. Once a disused power station on Whitfield Street, the development has a number of prominent architectural features. The new townhouses, for instance, are being designed around a sculptural staircase made of polished concrete, inspired by the Louis Vuitton staircase in St Tropez.

DOCKS TO GET ICONIC ECO TOWER
A brand new “eco-tower” has been granted planning permission in London’s Royal Docks. The apartments will be a landmark 24-storey apartment tower called Silvertree. They have been designed by Richard Hywel-Evans of Studio RHE. It will be built to high green specification. They will be wrapped with coloured panels giving solar shading but also the electrical power and solar water heating. The building will also open to reveal a green vertical forest enclosing terraces and balconies.

GET SHIPPED OUT TO THE COUNTRY
Douglas & Gordon, the property agents, are hosting a London property fair to encourage Londoners to consider buying a home in the countryside. There will be 33 handpicked country and relocation agents and experts available to speak to and a broad spectrum of countryside properties profiled, including cottages, castles, estates and Martello towers. The event will be held in Battersea Arts Centre on Thursday 14 April in The Grand Hall from 1pm-7pm. Admission is free.

KELLY HOPPEN HITS MOSCOW
The design brand Yoo have launched a new development on Moscow’s Golden Mile, close to the Moskva River. It will comprise of 21 apartments of up to five bedrooms, across seven floors. They will be developed by Barkli Construction and Development, a Russian property developer, Barkli Virgin House and Barkli Park. They will feature Kelly Hoppen designs in the common areas, lobby and external terrace. Barkli Virgin House is Kelly Hoppen’s latest design after The Lakes by Yoo in the Cotswolds.
