The first trailer for British director Danny Boyle's biopic of Steve Jobs has landed, with Michael Fassbender appearing in Jobs' trademark black turtleneck.

Steve Jobs, the second feature film on the Apple founder's life, is written by Aaron Sorkin, the Academy-award winning wordsmith behind The Social Network and The West Wing.

The teaser trailer, unveiled by Universal, comes with few details, although it does include audio of Sorkin's undoubtedly snappy script played over a rear shot of Fassbender delivering a keynote speech as Jobs.

The 2013 film Jobs, starring Ashton Kutcher, was panned by critics – so film and Apple fans alike will be hoping for an improvement from the Hollywood heavyweight trio and other stars including Seth Rogen, Kate Winslet and Jeff Daniels.

Steve Jobs is due to be released in UK cinemas on 13 November.
