Lonmin warns of metal pressures
Lonmin, the world’s third-largest platinum producer, said precious metal miners in South Africa would likely face continued challenges in 2010 as it posted a 25 per cent drop in fourth-quarter platinum sales. Chief executive Ian Farmer said above-inflation wage increases are putting cost pressures on the miners.
