Ladbrokes has cut the odds of a Brexit vote as a new poll has shown support for the Leave campaign growing.

Last week the bookmaker was offering of a Leave vote at 5/1, but has today cut the odds to 10/3.

Ladbrokes head of political betting Matthew Shaddick says: “Leave chipped away at Remain's lead as a record number of Brexit backers came out of the woodwork in the past week. It would still take an incredible amount of money or extraordinary set of circumstances to see the Leave campaign get close to becoming favourite, however."

It comes as a new poll conducted for the Daily Telegraph found increasing support for the Leave campaign.

In figures published this morning, a poll by ORB found that the lead for the Remain campaign has been reduced to just five points, down from 13 last week.

The survey also found that 52 per cent, up two per cent on last week, believe that quitting the EU would improve Britain's immigration.

While 48 per cent, up four per cent, agreed that leaving the EU would give Britain “greater control of our lives”.
