Greek athletes guilty of perjury

ATHLETICS: Former Greek Olympians Kostas Kenteris and Katerina Thanou have been handed have received suspended jail sentences for staging a motorbike crash during the 2004 Games to avoid a doping test. Kenteris, 37, and Thanou, 36, have been sentenced to 31 months in jail for false statements made to police on the eve of the Athens Olympics.
