Greece is expected to get approval for bailout loans of up to €10.3bn (£8bn) today.

Eurozone finance ministers are currently discussing the loans in a Eurogroup meeting that’s been going on for over eight hours.

The loan is likely to be paid out on two tranches with the first instalment of €7.8bn due in June.

Earlier this week, the Greek parliament passed a reform bill detailing tax hikes, austerity reforms and a privatisation fund that will manage state property.

A total of 153 lawmakers voted in favour of the reforms except one MP who approved the bill in principle but voted against some of the articles.

This bill led to thousands of demonstrators gathering outside parliament on Sunday to protest against the new legislation.

Last year, Greece agreed to a third bailout worth €86bn (£67bn).
