GB&I open first-day lead

Great Britain and Ireland have taken a commanding 4-1 lead over Continental Europe after the opening day fourballs at the Seve Trophy in France. Scott Jamieson and Ross Fisher led the way with a 6&4 victory, while Robert Rock and Ian Poulter were 5&3 winners. Anders Hansen and Francesco Molinari were Europe’s only victorious pairing.
