Frankie’s Thoughts

DELEGATOR hasn’t had much luck recently but gets his ideal conditions tomorrow in the Sprint Cup. He’s a horse that needs plenty of cover and for that reason I’m pleased with his draw in stall 5, as we wouldn’t have wanted to be drawn out wide on either flank.

The likes of Masamah will ensure that the race is run at a really good pace, which is exactly what my fellow needs, so I’m hopeful in a wide-open race.

I ride Rainfall earlier on in the opening race at Haydock, but she is on a bit of a recovery mission now having been out for a while. She was a nice filly last year, but is best watched.

I’m flying off after Haydock to ride Snow Fairy for Ed Dunlop in the Irish Champion Stakes at Leopardstown. Everyone is talking about So You Think, but I sat on my filly last week and she is in really good form.

She seems to get better as the season progresses so I’m expecting her to improve again. We will give it our best shot, but, whatever happens, there is good money up for grabs for finishing second!

My weekend certainly doesn’t end there as I’m off to Turkey first thing on Sunday morning to ride Campanologist.
