CINNAMON CLUB’S LAVISH TENTH
The Cinnamon Club, stalwart of the Westminster fine dining scene and easily the most atmospheric restaurant in the radius of our governmental seat, has reached the grand old age of ten. So what? Well, the chance to win, via lottery, a ticket to what has to be one of the most delectable dinners of the year. Ravioli of Norwegian king crab, cured salmon with coriander soup; a selection of Bombay street food (that won’t make you sick); Tandoori breast of squab pigeon with cloves and poached egg….what’s not to drool at? Dinner on 21 March. Register at cinnamonclub.com for your chance to partake of a ten-course tasting menu

ZENNA BAR BRINGS SPICE TO DEAN STREET
The formerly unpreposessing bar below the Indian restaurant Red Fort has relaunched with a tip-top cocktail list. If you’re on Dean?Street you could do worse than nipping in for cocktails in the “spice” range: we think the spiced chocolate orange martini with cointreau and chocolate sounds good; or try the Illiana. Named after the mythological Indian golden dragon, it is known as the “world’s hottest cocktail” – so spicy that guests must sign a waiver on ordering and it comes with its very own “fire extinguisher” accompaniment (Bombay Sapphire with lemon and soda) to quell the flames after drinking. 77 Dean Street, W1D 3SH. Tel: 020 7437 2525

NEW GIN-LOVING BAR AT INTERCONTINENTAL
The most recent addition to Park Lane’s ever more sleek hotel offerings is the Arch Bar at the Intercontinental. Interestingly, this plush lounge will be gin-focussed, with 25 largely undiscovered London producers. England is the name of the game, and you can also expect to find a goodly selection of English wine and beer. We’re particularly excited about Gin Hour, running between 5.30–6.30pm every day, with such offerings as Mother’s Ruin with Six O’Clock gin, champagne and fresh lemon and Gin and Ernest Roots, a take on the Hemingway Daquiri. Arch Bar at the Intercontinental, Park Lane. www.intercontinental.com
