TRINITY GOES LITERARY
Recipe books are ten-a-penny, but not many leave us as watered-of-mouth as How to Eat In by Adam Byatt, chef patron of Clapham’s rather fabulous Trinity restaurant. It’s a tome of serious beauty – the full-page pictures of boiled goose eggs with asparagus soldiers and a sensational fish pie topped with cockles are enough to send one weak at the knees – and it’s full of recipes we’re expecting to transform our dinner parties this summer. Hunt it down, or just head to Trinity for a taste of the real thing. Trinity Restaurant, 4 The Polygon, SW4 0JG. www.trinityrestaurant.co.uk.

THE CINNAMON CLUB’S ELECTION NIGHT
Westminster’s smart Indian restaurant The Cinnamon Club is celebrating election night on Thursday by screening all the action in its basement bar with cocktails, bar snacks and the chance to win dinner for two when you drop your business card in the bar’s ballot box. The Cinnamon Club, 30-32 Great Smith St, SW1P 3BU. www.cinnamonclub.com

A TASTE OF HONEY AT ST PAUL’S
It’s National Honey Week, as decreed by the Honey Association, which is all the excuse The Restaurant at St Paul’s needs to put its own hives (they’re in Regent’s Park) to use in a three-course Honey Menu, which can be mixed with the a la carte. The Restaurant at St Paul’s, EC3M 8AD. www.restaurantstpauls.co.uk

THE LATEST IN PINK FIZZ
Pink champagne is still all the rage for picnics and summer soirees. The glam new rosé from Nicolas Feuillatte is available at John Lewis for £17, or £28 in a gift box. www.johnlewis.com
