NEED TO KNOW | HAMMERSMITH

Commuting: Hammersmith is incredibly well-connected, served by the District, Piccadilly and Circle lines, about 30 minutes from the City. It is close to the A40 and the A4.

Schools: St Paul’s Girls School, Latymer Upper School and the Godolphin and Latymer School are all highly-regarded independent schools. Brackenbury primary is strong. Sacred Heart is a state Catholic secondary.

Crime: Slightly worse than the national average.
Restaurants & Pubs: Plenty of gastropubs, including the Anglesea Arms and the Havelock. The Gate is great for veggies. The Dove is a cosy pub on the river with an outside terrace for the summer and an open fire in the winter.

Parks & Leisure: The river offers rowing, sailing and canoeing. Ravenscourt Park and Brook Green are green spaces. Plays at the Lyric Theatre often hit the West End and the Hammersmith Apollo has well-known bands and comedians.
