EU referendum: Prime Minister David Cameron cancels trip to Denmark and Sweden to meet with European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker
Prime Minister David Cameron has cancelled a trip to Denmark and Sweden this week and will instead sit down with European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker for crunch talks ahead of next month's European Council meeting.
Downing Street said this afternoon that the Prime Minister will travel to Brussels on Friday to meet one-on-one with Juncker to discuss his efforts to renegotiate Britain's relationship with the EU.
Cameron had originally planned to travel to Stockholm and Copenhagen at the end of this week for meetings with Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Lofven and Danish Prime Minister Lars Lokke Rasmussen.
Cameron has said that he wants to secure a reform deal when he meets with the heads of state and government from all 28 EU member states at February's European Council.
The Prime Minister has promised to hold an In/Out vote on Britain's EU membership before the end of 2017.
