“Any sympathy that the postal workers might have had, they have lost.The public are not going to sympathise with them if they are causing widespread disruption. But it won’t affect the City as much as you might think because of email, UPS and document exchange systems that are already in use across businesses.”

Part of the problem is probably that they look at what happens when Tube workers go on strike and the authorities just give in to their every demand.”

We’ve all had to adjust to new working conditions with lower pay and bonuses and longer hours, so I think postal workers are being a little unreasonable. This will also really have an effect on small businesses at a time when we need to be supporting the economy.”
