CAPITAL GAINS | Top awards come to London
SPORT’S biggest names will gather in London months before next summer’s Olympics after the capital was named as host city for the 2012 Laureus Sports Awards. The prestigious prizes, which last year went to stars such as Rafael Nadal (above), will be presented at a glitzy ceremony at Central Hall in Westminster on 6 February. Proceeds will go towards 89 community projects supported by the Laureus Sport For Good Foundation.
