Brighton stunned as Lee joins Southampton
FOOTBALL: Former Liverpool midfielder Sammy Lee has taken up a coaching role with Southampton, just two days after signing a contract to become Brighton’s assistant manager. The Seagulls announced on Friday that Lee would begin working alongside boss Sami Hyypia from today. And chief executive Paul Barber said: “We could have insisted Sammy serve a notice period, but we all feel it would have been counter-productive to do so.”
