US President-elect Donald Trump has added another business executive to his circle of advisers, with Oracle chief executive Safra Catz joining the executive committee of his transition team.

Catz will remain at the California-based software giant, according to Reuters.

She had been present at a meeting of technology business leaders earlier in the week at Trump Tower, where Trump had said “I’m here to help.” Trump’s discussion with the tech executives touched on free trade, deregulation, and US jobs.

Catz joins Uber boss Travis Kalanick and Tesla and Space X founder Elon Musk as technology leaders in Trump's circle of advisers. Kalanick and Musk joined the President-elect's Strategic and Policy Forum.

Catz rose through the ranks at Oracle, and has served as chief financial officer and president of the company.

Other recent Trump appointments included retired Army general Michael Flynn as a national security adviser. He will joined by Monica Crowley, a Fox News analyst and radio presenter, in a similar role.

He has also faced accusations of hypocrisy, after hiring four former Goldman Sachs employees in important roles. Trump had previously heavily criticised Presidential rival Hillary Clinton for her links to the bank.
