Just one of the terraces in this enormous penthouse where Friends star Matthew Perry lived is bigger than the average family home being built in the UK.

Measuring in at over 1,000sqft, the eighth floor roof terrace is the jewel in the crown of the apartment complex that Perry, who played sarcastic New Yorker Chandler Bing in the long-running comedy, called home while starring in The End of Longing in the West End earlier in the year.

He’s since returned to the US and now it’s on the market for approximately £7m. It sits atop Fitzrovia Apartments, a new 100-unit complex on Bolsover Street.

In addition to one of the largest roof terraces in London, the home has three bedrooms spread over the sixth and seventh floors of the block totaling 2,475sqft of space. The average size of a new three bedroom home in the UK is 980sqft, according to a 2015 report by the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA).

The living area and master bedroom opens out onto a second wrap around terrace, the master suite has a walk-in wardrobe and the bathroom is marble clad with a standalone bathtub.

Fitzrovia Apartments itself is built on land that was bombed during World War Two and is now part of a regeneration effort that will revamp the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital and provide a new Out Patients centre, as well as extra parking and office space.

“The penthouse is one of the crowning achievements of the scheme,” says Martin Bikhit, managing director of selling agent Kay & Co. “The panoramic views from both the seventh and eighth floors are majestic, with the London cityscape to the south contrasting with the lush greenery of Regent’s Park to the north.

“We feel that this would be the perfect property for a glamorous couple to call home.”

Price: £6.995m. Call 0207 4866338 or visit kayandco.com
