In yet another win for social media campaigning, Cadbury has announced it will be resurrecting one of its popular 20th century flavours after fans launched an internet appeal to bring it back.

The world's second largest chocolate maker will bring back its Tiffin flavoured 95g Dairy Milk bar for a limited, roughly three million bar run this summer, after spending 13 years off supermarket shelves.

The Tiffin bar, which contains biscuit pieces and raisins, was launched in 1937 and had an initial run of 35 years to 1972. It was brought back in 1985, before being withdrawn again in 2003.

The limited edition bar combines "the classic tastes and textures of biscuit and fruit" in one of Cadbury's oldest flavour combinations.

Matthew Williams, Marketing Director at Mondelez International, said:

We know that consumers look forward to trying new products from Cadbury.

And with so many fans asking for its return on social media, our Cadbury Dairy Milk Tiffin block is sure to be a success when we release it as a limited edition this summer.
