ABSENT world No1 Tiger Woods is being tipped to make a surprise comeback in less than two weeks’ time.

Woods plans to play the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill near his home in Florida, which starts on 25 March, according to US?reports.

He could even take to the course three days earlier at the Tavistock Cup – a private annual match between rival golf clubs that he has played in for the last four years.

Woods, who has not competed since November, took time off after the scandal over his infidelities.

The 14-time Major winner is also said to have consulted Ari Fleisher, the presidential advisor-turned-sports publicist with a track record in repairing damaged reputations.
