Wimbledon prize money 2016: Novak Djokovic leaves with £80,000 after being dumped out by Sam Querrey in the third round
Novak Djokovic has exited Wimbledon in the third round — his worst performance for eight years — following a shock loss to American Sam Querrey.
Querrey showed superb spirit to knock out the world No1 in four sets, winning 6-7 1-6 6-3 6-7 to progress to the fourth round and match his best-ever performance at the All England Club from 2010.
The big-serving American has guaranteed himself the biggest grand slam prize money paycheque of his career so far with £132,000 the reward for trumping Djokovic, whose 30-match winning grand slam has come to an end.

In contrast Djokovic, who has made £7.5m at Wimbledon throughout a career in which he has been crowned champion on three occasions, goes home with £80,000 — his lowest grand slam prize money since he went out at the same stage of the French Open six years ago.
Only on four occasions in the last two years has the Serb made less money from a single tournament, including ATP World Tour events.
After the game Djokovic claimed he was "not really" feeling 100 per cent healthy and would be pulling out of Serbia's Davis Cup quarter-final against Andy Murray and co with Great Britain later this month.
