Wiggins’ Tour chances rocked
TEAM Sky’s Bradley Wiggins has admitted he may have to settle for a top-10 spot in the Tour de France after losing major ground on the leaders in yesterday’s ninth stage.
The Englishman finished almost five minutes behind stage winner Sandy Casal and now lies more than seven minutes behind new race leader Andy Schleck.
“I don’t want to give up and throw my toys out of the pram, finish at the back or go home,” said Wiggins, who came fourth last year. “So I’m going to just push on and maybe just recalibrate, say top 10 is now the goal.”
