ARSENAL starlet Sanchez Watt is itching to shine as boss Arsene Wenger prepares to unleash his youngsters in the Carling Cup tonight.

Forward Watt, 18, is one of the latest crop of exciting talents to break through under Wenger’s guidance and is set to feature in the third round tie against West Brom.

He said: “I hope to be picked for the Carling Cup and am just going to keep on trying. If I get the shout, I will try my best. It is about whoever is hot at that precise moment and whoever gets that chance to do well.”

Gunners chief Wenger is keen to blood youth as he has done for years in this competition.

He said: “We will try to find a good balance between youth and experience – Jack Wilshere, Aaron Ramsey, Watt, Wojciech Szczesny.”
