WALES centre Gavin Henson has been handed a surprise call up to the 26-man squad to take on the Barbarians at the Millennium Stadium on 4 June.

The 29-year-old won the last of his 31 caps in March 2009 against Ireland and has since struggled with injuries and a long spell out of the game.

Henson signed for Saracens in October but only managed four appearances for the Londoners because of injury.

He then joined French side Toulon in February but suspension for an altercation with a team-mate has limited his impact to three games.
