Vettel starts F1 mind games in Brazil but Button is not feeling the pressure

JENSON BUTTON insists he is not feeling any pressure to clinch the Formula One world championship in Brazil this weekend.

Fourteen points clear at the top of the drivers’ championship with two races to go, the British driver needs a third-place finish at Interlagos on Sunday to wrap up his first title.

Button’s team-mate Rubens Barrichello lies second – two points clear of Red Bull challenger Sebastian Vettel, who won the last race in Japan a fortnight ago. Vettel insists the pressure is on his Brawn GP rivals to perform this weekend, but although Button refuses to take the bait, he admits there is an excitement in the air. “Sebastian saying the pressure is on us is not quite the case, it is the same for all of us,” he said. “We are all fighting for the championship, it is the first time for me, Sebastian and maybe Rubens. It is an exciting situation to be in, but I am the one with the lead.

“I woke up with a smile on my face, I don’t think it adds to the pressure knowing that you could win the world championship, it adds to the excitement for sure. I am positive.”
