Twitter for the Web down for 45 minutes: “Something is technically wrong”
Twitter for the Web went down 7.25pm, making it impossible to access the social media platform’s website for about 45 minutes, until the site came back up at 8.10pm.
When trying to access twitter.com users were instead greeted by the error message: “Something is technically wrong.”
Thanks for noticing – we’re going to fix it up and have things back to normal soon.
The crash affected the desktop version of Twitter, while mobile apps and other platforms for accessing it, such as Tweetdeck, were unaffected by the outage.
Understandably, withdrawal symptoms quickly began setting in, and users turned to… Twitter to vent their frustration:
