Tube delays: Signal failure causes delays on Northern Line’s Charing Cross branch

Delays are affecting the Northern Line this morning after a signal failure.

Commuters travelling southbound between Camden Town and Kennington on the Charing Cross branch of the Northern Line faced severe delays after the signal failure at Euston.

Transport for London (TfL) said local buses will accept Tube tickets if commuters are able to get to work another way, though the issue has since been downgraded to minor delays.

A good service is running on the rest of the line, though the delays likely mean the Northern Line’s Bank branch may be significantly busier than usual this morning.

Meanwhile no service is running on the London Overground between Euston and Watford Junction while TfL fixes a signal failure at Harrow & Wealdstone.
