The Circle Line, Hammersmith & City Line and the Metropolitan Line all suffered disruption in this morning’s rush hour as Transport for London (TfL) advised commuters to take alternative routes.

Severe delays plagued the Circle Line in a clockwise direction after a faulty train at Baker Street, though a good service remained on the anticlockwise route.

The Baker Street incident also caused severe delays eastbound between Hammersmith and Barking, with passengers urged to take the bus instead.

The Metropolitan Line itself suffered 157 such delays last year, the data found.
