Presidential hopeful Donald Trump is riding high on the literary charts as the star of a new erotic bestseller.

The unlikely sex symbol, who is best known for, um, erecting hotels across the world, has won over legions of new fans as the titular hero of Trump Temptations: The Billionaire & The Bellboy.

First published as a Kindle e-Book on 22 January 2016, it has already raced to the top of the charts, reaching number one in Amazon’s illustrious ‘Humorous Erotica’ sub-category. Author Elijah Daniel, a 22-year-old American comedian, has now hired a Trump impersonator to narrate the inevitable audio book.

The novel follows the fictional romance between Trump – who was once a vocal opponent of gay marriage – and a bellboy at Trump Hotel in Hong Kong. It is written from the perspective of the bellboy, who describes their first meeting as “fateful”, saying: “My loins trembled as the scent of toupee adhesive and spray tan swept through my nasal cavity.”

The novel goes on to describe Trump as: “a soggy cheeto”; “a giant melting fat carrot with fake hair”; and “an old dried-out gingerbread house.”

Meanwhile, the response has been overwhelmingly positive, with more than 240 five-star reviews on Amazon’s Kindle store. One reader said:

After reading this sensual and tawdry account of Mr. Trump's escapades in Hong Kong, I'm convinced he can make America great again one bellboy at a time.

Another fan wrote: “I have to say, this book is the most incredible thing I've ever read. Gripping from start to finish, leaves you longing for more. Absolute timeless classic.”

Trump has not yet endorsed the novel, although he has blocked Daniel on Twitter…
