Get adventurous in the Caribbean
You can head to St Lucia in the Caribbean and lie on the beach, or you can do something a little more active. The Cap Maison resort is offering action-packed breaks – for seven nights at the price of six – with activities including kite surfing, horse riding, diving, deep sea fishing and trail running. You can also hire a luxury boat for a day or two to discover nearby islands.
From £1,690 per person, including flights and transfers, www.caribtours.co.uk.

Intoxicating Zambian safari
You can discover the wonders of Zambia’s vast Liuwa Plain this spring with safari company Robin Pope Safaris. It’s an area with prolific birdlife, vast open grasslands and wildebeest migrations, and guests will be guided by Robin Pope himself (he’s something of a legend in his field). Stay in makeshift camps, with food cooked over an open fire. From £4,304 per person for eight nights, based on two sharing. www.expertafrica.com.

World Cup by cruise ship
One rather stylish way to enjoy the football World Cup in South Africa this summer will be from the comfort of a luxury cruise ship. Cruise company One Ocean Club will be anchoring two liners at Port Elizabeth, Durban and Cape Town during the tournament. A ship will be in Port Elizabeth for England’s game against Slovenia, and the company will offer flights to groups wishing to travel to other venues during the tournament. For further information, visit www.oneoceanclub.com.

Discount offer for trips to the American wilderness
Adventure company TrekAmerica is offering travellers a last-minute discount of 20 per cent on three trips this Easter period. Take in the Costa Rica Panama Trail (£1,200 per person), journey across 12 US states on the Transcontinental South trip (£1,440 per person) or travel from Los Angeles to New York, by way of a Death Valley hike, a cowboy camp and a limo tour of Vegas, on the Southern Sun tour (£888 per person). Book before 6 April. www.trekamerica.co.uk.
