TOPPS SALES DROP EASES
TOPPS Tiles yesterday said its rate of sales decline slowed in the early weeks of its second half. It it said sales at stores open more than a year fell 11.9 percent in the first seven weeks of its second half, less than the 18.5 percent slump seen in the 26 weeks to March 28. The news overshadowed a 57 per cent fall in first half pre-tax profit to £0.6m.
