WAHACA
Take the laid back spirit of Mexico at its best, add the vision and inspiration of former Masterchef winner Thomasina Miers, and you’ve got some of the freshest and tastiest tostadas, quesadillas and burritos in town. Based originally in the West End, it’s now feeding Canary Wharfers too. 40 Canada Square, E14 5FW. 020 7516 9145, www.wahaca.co.uk.

MOOLI’S
Only recently opened but going down a storm with Soho locals, Mooli’s is the brainchild of a former City lawyer, Matthew Chandy. A mooli is a scrumptious roti wrap, and can be filled with five types of meat or veggie filling, including a goat curry, and variously spicy and tangy salsas and chutnies. 50 Frith Street, W1D 4SQ, tel: 020 7494 9075, www.moolis.com.

COMPTOIR LIBANAIS
A bit like Leon, but with Middle Eastern flavours taking the place of the Mediterranean ones, Comptoir Libanais is about as classy as fast food gets, with fresh salads and mezze, washed down with good coffee or mint tea. Added to this is some very funky design indeed. Chic is the word. 65 Wigmore Street, London, W1U 1PZ, tel: 020 7935 1110, www.lecomptoir.co.uk.
