Three exciting jobs in London right now

After what feels like a lifetime of lockdowns, restrictions and hitting pause on life, things are slowly returning to normal. And frankly, we couldn’t be happier. During this global pandemic, countless businesses all over the world introduced hiring freezes, furlough schemes and had to make some tough decisions. But there has been a shift, and we have front row seats. The world is returning to work, and this has resulted in some pretty amazing companies setting off on hiring sprees, with growth ambitions for the next few months. 

And that’s what brings us here today. We wanted to shine a bit of a spotlight on three brilliant jobs that are open right now, and give you a bit of cool information about them…

Executive Assistant to Group Chief People Officer (Maternity Cover), Paddy Power Betfair

PPB is looking for a high caliber C-suite senior Executive Assistant to join their fast-paced and ever-moving business. This position is a maternity cover contract for up to 12 months. Supporting the Group Chief People officer, this role requires attention to detail, solid organisational skills, and the ability to meet tight deadlines while juggling multiple critical requests across global teams. The Executive Assistant will act as a seamless extension of the Executive and will work closely with other Executive Assistants throughout the organisation.

You will be a detail oriented, experienced planner with the demonstrated ability to respond effectively and efficiently while maintaining flexibility, composure and a good sense of humour. You’ll need to understand the business priorities of the Executive, demonstrate the ability to proactively anticipate needs and drive improvements to build capacity for the leadership team. A high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information as well as professionalism in dealing with senior executives inside and outside of the company is critical. You will possess the ability to complete complex tasks quickly with little to no guidance, react with appropriate urgency to situations that require a quick turnaround, and take effective action without having to know the whole picture.

Account Manager – HVAC, Johnson Controls

Johnson Controls are looking for a Senior Sales Engineer for their Heating, Ventilation, Air conditioning (HVAC) team who are part of the Building Technologies and Solutions business. Every substantial facility needs efficient, reliable climate control. Johnson Controls offers the largest portfolio of HVAC equipment and controls in the world. 

The Sales engineer position is an exciting Sales role that reports directly into the Sales Manager for the UK&I Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) business. This is a new role at an exciting time of growth within JCI. The role will focus on sales via the end user and specification / consultant market but will also have responsibility for a number of named Main Contractors and M&E Contractors. You will have the opportunity to build on any existing customer relationships you may have whilst driving new business across your network. You will be targeting product driven opportunities within the HVAC sector that translates into profitable growth. You will develop, communicate, and implement a comprehensive plan to grow the brand across your region.

Payroll Support Partner, Paddy Power Betfair

The payroll team is responsible for managing the end to end payroll operation for the UK and Ireland, ensuring that each stage of the payroll process is actioned properly; that all employees are paid correctly; that appropriate and accurate information is provided to the Finance Team and other internal departments, that correct information and payments are made to local tax departments, pension providers and other statutory bodies.

The Payroll Support Partner will have allocated payrolls to manage and, working together with the payroll team, the Payroll Support Partner will input/upload data relating to employee’s payments and deductions into the payroll database in line with the payroll timetable and processing checklist. They will also ensure that employees are paid on time and receive the correct payments by completing the documented pre and post processing checks.
