TfL’s Night Tube owl logo signs arrive on London’s Underground… and they’re a hoot
Alongside "Mind the Gap" at your feet and round red and blue "Underground" signs overhead at entrances, there's a new feature appearing at selected Tube stations across London that's soon to become just as familiar.
Eagle-eyed commuters have spotted a new addition among signposts for the Central and Victoria line…. and they're an absolute hoot.

If the new logo looks somehow familiar, that's because designers used the same shapes from the Tube map – the wing curve is the same as a Tube line curve, the nose is from the dot of an "i" in TfL's font.
Those big round eyes come from the dot that indicates a Tube station, although one Redditor has outlined just how the owl makes the feel:

"These are quite subtle cues, some of them, but it does give us quite a wise owl and quite a distinct identity," TfL's head of design Jon Hunter told FastCo.
The logo may have arrived, but there's still no word yet on when the Night Tube will launch other than "autumn", despite suggestions it could be pushed back to 2016.
“The new signs help customers see at-a-glance which stations will be served by Night Tube. They are part of our preparations to introduce the service later this autumn," the Tube's chief operating officer Steve Griffiths told City A.M..
