Tennis star and former Wimbledon champ Andy Murray has announced three more investments in British startups, made via the crowdfunding platform Seedrs.

Murray, who lost to rival Novak Djokovic in the final of the French Open last weekend, has invested in Beeline, Dog Tracker Nano and blow LTD. The size of the investments has not been disclosed.

Beeline is a smart navigation device and mobile app for bicycles and Dog Tracker Nano is a live tracking device with geofencing and alerts to keep your dog safe with inbuilt tech to monitor activity, fitness and location. Blow LTD is a ‘beauty on demand’ service, delivering expert blow dries, makeup and nails to Londoners' homes.

Murray joined the advisory board of Seedrs in June 2015, and has previously invested in a trio of tech startups as well as a number of other investments made in February this year.

"Giving recognition and support to British entrepreneurs is really important to me, especially those who are the driving force behind growth-focused businesses," Murray said.

"Every one of these entrepreneurs is passionate and dedicated to succeeding and I’m excited to have invested in their future growth"

Seedrs founder and chief exec Jeff Lynn said: "It’s great to see Andy supporting entrepreneurs so actively on Seedrs by investing in another three businesses today. Andy is a great example of an investor who understands early stage investment and the importance of building a diverse investment portfolio aligned with a wider investment strategy."
