Telecom Plus profits to soar

TELECOM Plus, the London-listed utility services company, yesterday said it expected profit during the first half of the year to be significantly higher than last year, as it saw a 25 per cent growth in customer numbers during the quarter to 14 July.

Telecom Plus said it continued to expect full-year profit to grow by almost 50 per cent to £63m.

Shares in the firm jumped 8.1 per cent to close up at 1,338p.
