Stoke take Woodgate gamble
FOOTBALL: Stoke have completed the free transfer signing of former England star Jonathan Woodgate. The ex Real Madrid defender joins the Potters after his contract at Tottenham expired and has signed a one-year deal. Woodgate made just four first-team appearances over the last two seasons at Tottenham due to a groin problem. Meanwhile, Wolves are close to finalising a £7m deal for Birmingham defender Roger Johnson.
