Launched in 2014 to highlight and promote emerging contemporary artists from around the globe, START Art Fair celebrates its fifth edition at the Saatchi Gallery this weekend.

More than 50 artists from over 20 countries – including performance artists, painters and photographers – are exhibiting their work across the gallery’s three floors, giving art collectors and enthusiasts alike the chance to discover and support young galleries.

“The most exciting aspect for me is the curated space on the top floor, which this year is an exhibition titled Will to Faith,” says David Ciclitira, who founded START with his wife Serenella.

“To mark the 90th anniversary of the Chinese Academy of Art, they hosted an exhibition in Beijing in April – we were so impressed by the students that we invited them to come here to curate the space. It’s a really amazing exhibition of cutting edge Chinese contemporary art.”

START Art Fair runs until Sunday 16 September. More at startartfair.com
