LEARN! FUTURE FEST
This weekend will see a series of speeches and performances addressing the future and our place in it. The schedule will include talks from Edward Snowdon (via web-link, of course), Vivienne Westwood and Jon Ronson. Weekend tickets cost £80. futurefest.org

WATCH! BACKYARD CINEMA
Backyard cinema is literally going up in the world, presenting a series of movies from Altitude atop Millbank Tower. Saturday will see screenings of The Theory of Everything and ‘71, while Sunday will show Richard Linklater’s Boyhood. Tickets from £15, backyardcinema.co.uk

REVEL! ST PATRICK’S DAY PARADE
Guarantee yourself a cracking start to next week by drinking Guinness all day Sunday. The annual St Patrick’s Day parade encompasses Irish music, dance, culture, food and – of course – booze. It kicks off at midday on Sunday at Trafalgar Square and lasts until 6pm.

SHOP! AFFORDABLE ART FAIR
Need to spruce up your gaff? Then head over to the Affordable Art Fair in Battersea, where you can pick up one-of-a-kind and limited edition pieces without having to re-mortgage your house (they start at around £50). Tickets from £12, affordableartfair.com
