MATILDA THE MUSICAL
Surreal Australian musical comedian Tim Minchin provides some of the music for this ambitious take on the Roald Dahl classic. The production is set to be a smash hit, with the source material and acting talent ensuring Matilda the Musical will captivate adults as well as kids.

GO DEEPER UNDERGROUND
For just a week, the powers that be are giving permission for people to tour the disused Aldwych underground station. You might not have heard of it but chances are you have seen the station – it’s usually used as a film set and has featured in films including Atonement.

PETE DOCHERTY ACOUSTIC SET
The wayward former Libertines frontman is hoping to check his baggage at the door with a low-key acoustic set at Brixton’s Jamm. It’s easy to forget how good the Libertine’s first album was, in light of everything after it. Hopefully he can remind us.
