Sky News plans to ditch business bulletins, putting more jobs at risk
Sky News is planning to scrap business bulletins, with six jobs at risk.
The proposal comes shortly after it emerged that around 50 studio roles across Sky News and Sky Sports News could also be made redundant in an automation move.
The channel said the business cuts will not affect its flagship business programme, Ian King Live.
Under the proposal, business news will be moved into the channel's rolling news output. Two jobs will be created as part of the move.

A Sky News spokesman said: “We have put forward proposals that will mean we no longer have specific business bulletins in our television output.
“Our business coverage is still a core part of what we do and business stories will simply be incorporated into our schedule, as well as having a strong presence on digital platforms.
“It is important to stress at this time that these are just proposals and we will be discussing this with those affected before final decisions are made."

Last week, it emerged that an automation proposal would lead to 46 roles across news and sport being put at risk, with 31 created.
It also emerged last week that three presenters – Andrew Wilson, Lorna Dunkley and Samantha Simmonds – had left the broadcaster. They will not be replaced.
