AIM-listed Sirius Real Estate is planning to move to main market in early 2017, City PM understands.

The property company, which focuses on commercial property in Germany, is expected to announce the news in the new year.

Sirius is listed in both London and Johannesburg. It became duel-listed in Johannesburg in 2014, and pledged at the time to move onto the main market there within two years. But, as London is the company's main listing, it wanted to make the shift in both countries at the same time, and start to attract larger pools of capital.

The business leads the market of branded business parks in Germany, with properties across the country, including locations such as Berlin, Dresden and Munich.

Europe's economic powerhouse has been tipped to benefit from Brexit as property investors look to the country for stable assets. German Chancellor Angela Merkel's recent announcement to stand for a fourth term in office has made Germany even more attractive, as the country is set to benefit from a strong coalition government, likely led by Merkel.
