New West End-based stockbroker SilverWind has opened for trading, with ex-Lite Financial trader Darren Sinden joining its ranks.

SilverWind is being led by ex-ODL Securities head of capital markets Andrew Rowland, with the former vice chairman of ABN AMRO Menno de Jager leading the board.

It will offer institutional and corporate clients a comprehensive range of broking and advisory services, which will be cleared and settled through a major US investment bank.

Sinden, a 25-year City veteran, has joined as SilverWind’s senior sales trader.

Prior to Lite Financial, he held roles at Teather & Greenwood and Barclays. Sinden said he was pleased to “join some old friends and colleagues in this exciting new venture”.
