There are delays on the Bakerloo Line this morning after a woman was struck and killed by a train at Regents Park station.

The line was closed between Paddington and Piccadilly Circus earlier, due to a person on the tracks. Service has since resumed but with delays on the entire line.

British Transport Police (BTP) were called to Regents Park station at 7.40am following reports that a woman had been struck by a train.

"Officers attended along with the ambulance service," the BTP said.

"Sadly the woman died at the scene. The incident is not being treated as suspicious. The person will now be identified and their next of kin informed."

Transport for London said initially that the line was experiencing severe delays, but has since updated passengers and said delays on the line are minor.
